Biographical Info:
My name is Michele Reynolds and I am running for State Senate in Ohio District 3. I am a lifelong resident of Ohio. I grew up in Smithfield, Ohio–a small town in Jefferson County. I am a Pastor’s wife, the proud mother of James and Noah, and the daughter and wife of military veterans. My family and I currently reside in Canal Winchester, Ohio where I have the privilege of serving my local community as Madison Township Trustee. I am a third generation business owner, nonprofit CEO, woman of faith, and a proud Buckeye! Uplifting people is the foundation of my life’s work. For the past 25 years of my career, I’ve held leadership positions in local and state government, and the business and nonprofit sector, with a proven track record of success. As a non profit CEO, I have housed over 5000 returning citizens in affordable housing settings across Ohio. As a business owner, I have created more than 200 jobs, 8 successful businesses, and launched a business incubator to support the needs of entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners in Central Ohio. As an elected official, I have helped to modernize the way we do business in local government, increase fiscal transparency, secure grant funding, increase revenue and decrease expenses, save taxpayers $, increase public safety, and improve community relations by forming a Citizens Advisory Committee and At-Risk Resident Registry. As a faith leader, I have helped over 250 non profit organizations secure more than $40 million in state funding to help continue their mission and build organizational capacity.
Statement:
I am an addictive problem solver and experienced leader with a track record of proven results. My mission is to ensure that Ohio families have a protected path to prosperity that will help them actualize their version of the American dream. My goal is to help eliminate barriers threatening safety, security, and sustainability of all Ohioans. It's time for a seat change because when it comes to public service, RESULTS MATTER!! The people of District 3 deserve a leader that is responsive, works hard, and is at the table finding solutions to our biggest problems. We need an economy that is stable, housing that is affordable, and businesses that are profitable. I am the right leader for the job!
